The click and collect service has two purposes:

1. To request us to retrieve items from certain restricted locations:

  • ‘Reserve Stock’ - this is our basement store but these books are borrowable.
  • ‘Lower Library’ - the more modern books stored here (those printed from 1850 onwards) are borrowable, subject to your taking extra special care of them.

2. Those who have disclosed a Student Support Document to the Library may use click and collect for any item in the Library collection.

Submitting a request:

For each item required please give a link to our Library's copy from iDiscover or a few details such as author and title - the item status must be 'available'.

Once you submit a request a member of Library Staff will retrieve the item(s) during office hours (normally 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday). The item(s) will be left for you to collect from the Request Shelf at the Information Point in the Upper Library. We will notify you by email when your item(s) are available.

Please contact us if you require further assistance or an alternative collection point.

Requests using this method are limited to ten items; please submit another form if you require more. Should the Gonville and Caius College Library not have a copy of an item you seek then please use our recommendation form instead.
